Incoming calls when app in background

Introduction

To save battery on your mobile phone, Kasookoo app snoozes in the background when you are not using it. It wakes up whenever you open it to make a call or to send a message. Whenever you have an incoming call, the Kasookoo network wakes up your app by sending it a notification. As soon as it awakes, the app starts ringing and you can receive the call. Simple!
On some mobile phones, Kasookoo may require your permission for this to work. Your app may not be able to notify you of an incoming call if this permission is not in place. If you are seeing a missed call when you open the app and notice that your phone did not ring when the call was received, you may need to perform checks 1 to 4 and take corrective actions as listed below.

Once you have made the changes, do not forget to test by coming out of Kasookoo app and call yourself to make sure that the app is ringing. 


Checks to Run

Check-1: Turn off Software Battery Optimizations


Disable Adaptive Battery by heading to Settings -> Battery and setting it to OFF for Kasookoo APP.


OR, Settings -> Apps & Notifications -> Kasookoo -> Advanced -> Battery -> Battery optimization


Check-2: Check If Background Data Is Enabled

Turn on background data under Settings -> Apps & Notifications -> Kasookoo -> Data Usage -> Background Data.

Check-3: Allow Kasookoo to work in the background from:

Settings -> Apps & Notifications -> Kasookoo -> Battery –Background Restriction.



Check-4: Turn off the Data Saver mode

Go to Settings -> Network & internet -> Data Usage -> Data Saver to check it.
